Step 3 - Print the following forms to help you make the switch.
All letters and forms needed to make the switch are provided below. Simply print and mail the letters to the appropriate companies and/or individuals. Just follow the steps below to start switching your account today. Keep your CharterBank routing number and new checking account number accessible.
- Closeout Account Switch Form
- This form will allow you to notify your old bank that you are closing your old account. Make sure you allow 10 days for any outstanding checks to clear and enough funds to cover any pending automatic payments. Destroy any unused checks, deposit slips, ATM cards and debit cards associated with the old account.
- Automatic Withdrawals Switch Form
- Use these forms to change your automatic withdrawals. This form will notify companies to switch the account they are currently drafting your automatic payments from. These payments could include local utilities, day care, fitness clubs, insurance, cable/internet providers, mortgage payments, car payments, etc.... Please print as many forms as needed. Cancel your automated payment services such as bill-paying by phone or PC, by contacting your old bank. CharterBank offers many automated services including FIRST Line, Online Banking with Bill Payment, and our Automated Savings Plan.
- Direct Deposit Switch Form
- This form will allow you to switch your Direct Deposit from the account it is currently being deposited to. This may include deposits for payroll, social security, interest payments, etc. Enclose a voided check or deposit slip from your new account when setting up a new direct deposit for verification purposes.
